![]() ![]() I was able to turn up the graphics settings to High. Barring some expected errors with development software, it technically worked for me. I then participated in the next two months of Public Test with my Mac. I entered a support ticket and was invited to join the public test with what was then the new 64 bit Mac wrapper. ![]() After turning up the settings one notch to Medium, I suffered enough crashes to go pink for a couple of games. In the spring I was only able to run the game on Low graphics settings. I have a Late 2013 Mac Pro with a 12 core processor and dual D700 (6GB) graphics cards, 64 Gigs of RAM 1 TB PCI SSD and three monitors (one Thunderbolt display and two 4K). ![]() I measure my satisfaction by how I place within my team. As a Naval history enthusiast, I find it fascinating. I am not a unicom player by a very long shot. It has depth and breadth, there is a lot to learn. It has the essential elements of a great game. So it's not like you should be surprised it's not working.įirst, I really like WoWs. Just don't blame us when it doesn't work. They basically said, yeah, it's not designed for Mac, and we don't take Mac into any consideration when designing, but there are ways to make it work, so sure, go ahead. It's not like WG ever really supported IOS. But at the same time, if you wanted to get into gaming, a Mac probably wasn't the best option. I get that people really prefer one system over the other. If you want something for gaming or running a wide variety of programs, PCs are going to be a whole lot simpler to work with. If you want a light, fancy looking thing that browses, types, and runs a select number of programs well, Macs are great. I work with scientific programs regularly, most of them crash if they try to talk with the internet, forget anything more modern than Windows 95, and a Mac? Yeah no. Most things should work with Mac, but it's often a lot simpler with a PC. My view is that personal preferences aside, if you're going to be working with a wide range of software, PC is a must. WG doesn't officially support Mac, what did you expect? It's not like Apple feels any obligation to support other companies software. ![]()
