![]() Once I moved around in game for a minute or so, the game overwrote the auto-save and I was all set to continue. I loaded up the game in Steam and my save was in the Load screen exactly where I left off. I copied my Game Pass save from its safe location into the Steam saves folder, and then renamed the long save name to saveData1. I didn't want to mess with the auto-save slot in case it has any sort of weird flags that separate it from manual saves, so instead I deleted saveData1. %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Chained Echoes\Chained EchoesĬonveniently, Steam saves have names like saveData0 and saveData1. Mercifully, the Steam saves are in a much more predictable spot: me just shoving random saves into a folder and hoping Steam recognized them, and it takes fewer than two minutes to get to the first auto-save. Is this necessary? Probably not, but I felt better about the game making the first save vs. Boot up the game and skip cutscenes until you're at the point of the first auto-save. Next, I installed the Steam version of the game. It may take a little extra tinkering if you have multiple saves to transfer. I only had three saves (two manual, one auto) but had five files in that folder. Feel free to copy all of the files there, but note that not all of the files in that folder are actually saves. I copied that save off to a safe location in case I somehow lost it later on due to a Game Pass glitch or something. I assumed my most recent save would be the largest, clocking in at around 130KB. Finally, inside of this second long name folder you'll find your saves. Inside of this folder is yet another folder with a very long name. Inside of the wgs folder, you'll see a couple more folders. %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Packages\DECK13.ChainedEchoesRelease_(randomstring)\SystemAppData\wgs.
